This week during my studies, I was reading the book of Matthew when I came across a commandment that changed the way that I perceive my relationship with God.

This week during my studies of the 4 Gospels, I used a technique called substitution to better relate the stories I find in the verses to my daily life experiences. This week, I spent some time carefully studying Luke 12. This chapter is filled with so many stories, insights, and counsel. However, ever there was one that stood out to me. A piece of counsel that I felt could cure anyone of the stress and anxieties that come with life.

This week during my studies, I focused a lot on the symbolism of the stories that I was reading. In the portions of the 4 Gospels that I studied, we see the stories of how Christ fed the multitudes, walked on water, and teaching of faith and forgiveness. Focusing on the symbolism of some of the stories was one of the study tactics that helped me to internalize the things I was reading.

This week my studies focused a lot on who Christ was and what did He do. A lot of my study was in the sections of the 4 Gospels that recorded the miracles that He performed. Reading these accounts, I made the decision to put myself in the shoes of the people watching Christ perform these miralces. I worked to really visualize every detail of the stories and what it felt like to watch all of this.

This week I began my studies of the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John). It's interesting to read about and noticed the similarities and the differences on how the accounts of Christ are told. It's my understanding that these accounts are written to emphasize different aspects of Christ's life and I believe that because of this, the Story of Christ is one that can be appreciated and deeply felt by all.
